Meet the Team

Bianca Bennett
Bianca Bennett
Ms. Bennett is the Testing and Event Manager for the Office of Court Professionals of the Georgia Judicial Council/Administrative Office of the Courts. She is responsible for handling the logistics and administration of the events and the exams required for Georgia Court Interpreters, Court Reporters, and Process Servers’ licensure. She provides staff support for the Georgia Commission on Interpreters, the Georgia Board of Court Reporting, and the Standing Committee on Court Reporting Matters of the Judicial Council of Georgia. Ms. Bennett graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Psychology.
Herbert Gordon
Herbert Gordon
Mr. Gordon is the Program Manager for the Georgia Courts Registrar of the Judicial Council/Administrative Office of the Courts. He conducts and manages activities relating to the certification and licensing of court professionals and officials through the Georgia Courts Registrar. Mr. Gordon is responsible for planning and implementing strategies and operations, and he oversees activities to improve systems and processes that support the Registrar. He manages a registrar staff and interfaces with business programs and information technology staff and consultants/vendors to support a high customer satisfaction level. Mr. Gordon is a registered mediator in Georgia, and he is certified through the University of Georgia as a Certified Public Manager (CPM).
John Botero
John Botero

John Botero is the Program Manager of the Office of Court Professionals with the Judicial Council / Administrative Office of the Courts. As a Program Manager, John oversees the administrative process for the Commission on Interpreters of the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Board of Court Reporting, the Judicial Council Ad Hoc Committee on Improving Community Access to Legal Resources, and the Standing Committee on Court Reporting Matters of the Judicial Council of Georgia. Before working with the Judicial Council/Administrative Office of the Courts, John worked with the Judicial Branch of the State of Connecticut first as an Interpreter and then as a Court Clerk.

John graduated from Pace University’s Dyson College of Arts and Science with a Master of Public Administration. John obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the City University of New York’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2006. John brought the knowledge of his time as an interpreter to his current role, where he seeks to improve the interpreters’ part in Georgia’s courts and the Commission’s role and level of assistance to all parties and improve equal access to justice. John’s expertise in working with other Court Professionals is also an asset that helps him advocate and advance all Court Professionals’ standing in Georgia.

LaShica Briscoe
LaShica Briscoe
Ms. Briscoe is one of the Customer Support Representatives for the Georgia Courts Registrar of the Judicial Council/Administrative Office of the Courts. She serves as the initial point of contact for external Registrar customers: court reporters, court interpreters, mediators, process servers, municipal judges, clerks, and members of the public. She is responsible for responding to inquiries, questions, and concerns and guiding customers in using the Registrar, troubleshooting issues, and problems that may occur, providing accurate information regarding certification requirements while providing excellent customer service. LaShica holds a degree in Business Administration and also works for the Office of General Counsel as its Legal Assistant.
Lisa Assam
Lisa Assam
Ms. Assam joined the Georgia Court Registrar’s team recently, and she’s eager to continue to learn about the many services provided by the AOC.  Ms. Assam graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, located in New York City, and has extensive work experience in the judicial court system. Ms. Assam recently moved from New York State, and she’s enjoying the people and the pleasant weather.
